AT THE BRIDGES FEDERATION WE LEARN AND SUCCEED TOGETHER

The Bridges Federation of Schools are working together to provide excellent opportunities and exciting learning for all our pupils. We believe that every child has the potential to succeed and that it is our job to make that happen. We see every child as an individual and have a strong commitment to inclusion. All schools are situated in fantastic locations with excellent transport and community links.

Are you dynamic, enthusiastic and committed to improving the opportunities for young people; someone who believes all children deserve the very best and are able to offer this, and are ready for a challenge?

The Bridges Federation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS check, references and medical clearance are required for the successful applicant.

Co-opted Governor needed

The Bridges Federation comprises three schools: Snowsfields, Tower Bridge and Robert Browning. At each one, our pupils are happy, polite, well behaved and love their school. Every child is seen as an individual, and they are encouraged to take risks, be challenged and be the best they can be.
A vacancy has arisen for a co-opted governor to join the Governing Board. This is a voluntary position which requires commitment to develop in the role over time. The term of office is 4 years, after which re-appointment can be made.
Governors play a central role in both the decision-making and management of the school. You do not need any specific qualifications to become a governor, but we are ideally seeking someone who has some knowledge or interest in Early Years, Safeguarding, Special Educational Needs, HR or Health and Safety.
However, if you are enthusiastic, have a desire to learn and have the time to attend training, 3 online Full Governing Board meetings, some committee meetings and conduct school monitoring visits during the day, we would like to hear from you.
Please contact Kate Wooder at office@towerbridge.southwark.sch.uk if you are interested or would like any further information and we can arrange to meet to discuss the role and your suitability.
